I find this very interesting because I noticed that the inlet of my blower had some grinding as well.

Isn’t there a Whipple Representative on this site? Has anyone beemed Whipple’s Social media? I mean a response of “it’s normal” is all the OP gets? No explanation as to if there were production changes, parts supplier changes, etc?

The other interesting visual I see between all the pics is the verification or assembly witness markings appear to be gone on the pics with the smaller shafts. Meaning look at the paint dab colors that are on some of the interior bolts or on interior wall of the housing and compare in all the images posted. Why would they be almost absent in some of the images?

I’m sure it’s not a big deal, but more or less a curiosity factor seeing they were there on some and in other images are not present. Different assemblers?

I literally just received my stage one kit about an hour ago. Saw this thread and here's my blower. Looks similar to the OP's pics. Protective seal was not broken

Hey so I finally got the Stage 1 kit in recently, and it has been weeks since the installation and been running solid since, other than some issues with knocking from gas (that I know of). I've been using Boostane and switched over to try another gas station to try and counteract the issue. No major issues yet. As of now, the only problem is with Whipple's tune making it where your paddle shifter icons are stuck at all times, regardless of your car being in drive or sport mode. I've found a thread here with the poster having the same issue and I'm guessing it's an issue with '21 and above MYs, and Whipple still needs to come up with an update.

Just wanted to touch on this more if you are ever considering a Whipple around this time. I just decided to get the kit in because Whipple wouldn't send a comparison picture after I asked and waited for a week when then my appointment with the shop was coming up. I followed up with an email a week later and they replied instantly but again, with no picture, just again telling me I shouldn't be concerned. Another instance recently was waiting for an email regarding some data logs (making sure everything else is good other than the knocking). I haven't gotten a reply after the last email weeks ago from them saying they'd have a calibrator look at it. Other than those, all their other replies have been definitely timely and helpful though, so who knows maybe they could just be busy? You can take that as you may, I'm just telling my experience.
