Whipple Flare Update

I went to finally do the flight control update for my car and I got this warning. Is this normal? I cancelled the update in fear.

By me using the same flare tool but it was a tune from Whipple

My understanding from whipple is you always have to reload the stock calibration first, before you try and load a new Whipple cal. I was told Whipple cal are designed to only be flashed over the stock cal also this way you always have the stock calibration saved. If you look in your calibration folder the file containing the stock calibration will be the largest file, it's gets saved with the first calibration they send you when you flash the first time.

The software is looking for the factory tune and seeing the Whipple tune so you click override and it continues.

You dont need to go to stock first, it just looks for it.
I don't have my stock file because Whipple first flashed it for me before the Flare tool came out.

One more question, after a re-flash, do you need to do a crank relearn again?

It's recommended to do a relearn after every flash. Not necessary but it only takes a minute.
