Just had a Whipple stage 2 installed. I am unable to access my tune via the flare tool and my MacBook Pro. When I plug in the info such as VIN and voltage populate but I only see the Main tab and the Open File button. If I click Open File and try to open the Whipple Tune I sent my installer I get "Invalid flare Whipple Flare vehicle interface is in use with a different file, cannot use this file. Cannot open file."

So my question is, shouldn't the Flare software pull the calibration from the car rather than asking to open a local copy of the tune? If so, how long does it take for the Flare software to read the car's tune?

Thanks....

Are you sure its the same file?
You always have to open the file from the computer.

I've sent an email to my installer asking him if he used the tune I sent him but I haven't heard back yet.

I did try opening my tune without being connected to the car first, then I connected, and then clicked the Program button and got "Unable to validate VIN against license."

So it seems like I can't even reflash at this point.

No, you have to open your tune file that was supplied. It populates the generic info, it can't compare an entire cal, that would take near 10 minutes each time you connect.

More than likely you downloaded the file twice, once you have flashed you have to have the original file as it gets modified with your stock file. Once this is modified you always need this file.

Don't reflash if it's already been flashed, that would take a backup of the modified file vs stock and will out same file back in.

Get your original file from dealer and all will work correctly.

Yes, there is a tune loaded. The car is driving great. I just want access to the Flight Control options and to change tire size to fix my speedo error.
