Hope not, I installed the Boundary OPG last month.
How are they, any additional noise from them?

My guess is they are all the same and Boundary is just a fairer price, just seeing if there are any bad vibes and a reason to not save $150. :D

I haven't noticed any noise or side effect. Seemed to be nicely made and packaged.

Yeah they break!....Not!

That is an amazing deal:headbang:

Well you know sometimes the deal can be too good to be true, but hey if the Boundary is fine I shall just order Boundary OPG along with TSS sprocket and ARP bolt. :)

They are all great OPGs. I've NEVER heard of anyone breaking any billet gears. I installed MMR in mine but I wouldn't hesitate to install Boundary.

MMR appears to be a different billet steel than the others, e.g. 9310 vs. 4140 billet steel. I don't know what the difference is. We need metallurgy engineer to chime in.

From the research I did the MMR ones are of a different metal as stated above, however the Boundary gears are made out of the same material as the TSS gears. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but if you can save 150.00 why not, I also believe that since Boundary makes oil pump gears for a living that they would have a lower production cost which is in turn passed on to the consumer.

Boundary wasn't available when I did mine (or at least that I know of). I'd probably go that route over MMR today though for cost savings.

It's like with any business some one offers a product that no one else has, then as it gains popularity other companies see the opportunity and start to develop their own version of the same product. It all depends on what resources said companies have that will determine the cost of the part, and at which point the original founder starts to claim the new products being offered are inferior to their original offering. It's just a piece of metal cut from a solid chunk the only difference I could see would be the grade of material being used or the machining process, which would dictate the quality and fitment of the part IE clearance or tolerance.

I would take what ever is on sale, they are all good. Boundary is no better or worse than the rest just cheaper.

I feel compelled to also mention that I had MMR OPG'S in another car and they were clean and ready to go right out of the package, however the gears I received from Boundary had surface rust on them even though they were sealed in a plastic wrap with oil on them. It was no big deal I just took some scotch bright and removed the surface rust and then cleaned and re oiled them, however I was disappointed and actually wanted to wait until Monday and contact them directly and make them aware of the issue. I ultimately came up with my own solution and carried on with the install as it was on a Friday night and it would have been at least a week before I would get new gears, and that would have killed the flow and momentum of my whole project as I was installing the Whipple at the same time.
