I think what i'm running across the most are Kooks and Stainless Works pairing with the Corsa extreme catback. What do you like or not like for this type of setup?

Any one have some good experience with High Flow Catted Headers connected to Corsa extreme? Any brand sound a little better together than the other and avoids drone like the Corsa does by itself?

Interested to hear some answers as well. I heard one with ARH 1 7/8 off road headers and it sounded awesome!

I have Corsa Xtremes paired up with Kooks 1-7/8 catted long tubes, fit and finish is excellent, theres no drone added when the headers were put on. Have had no issues, yes the set up it loud when you get on it but manageable cruising around. It is a DD car too so every one loves me:D. But from what I've heard I don't think you can go wrong with Kooks, ARH or SW headers.

Is there a big difference between catted and non catted with volume?

No cats are going to be slightly louder than having cats and have some minimal gains over the high flow cats. Some say running no cats can get a little raspier, also its going to smell (good thing if your running e85 :D). I just dont want to deal with emissions in my state and the car is loud enough with the Xtremes. If you can run catless go for it.

Well I live in Maryland and the cops here are anal about loud cars in Montgomery county but I'm hopefully moving to Florida within the next two years lol. I think I'd have to go catted.

Just realized you're in MD. Would love to hear your setup if possible.

Florida has no emissions. Go catless, ya pansy
:D

OP i prefer the arh they sound the best in my opinion. They sell a direct connect header to specifically mate to corsa exhausts. Also the best sounding with arh mated in my opinion. Kooks would be my second choice. At that point id go with SW over their sp line. Its made here unlike their sp line, it also has a lifetime warranty. Another option which is fairly budget friendly but solid choice for the money is the TSP headers, they offer catted and uncatted. Their highflow "cat" system is great. They are completely gutted cats.

Best to pair catless or catted headers with quieter catbacks because the volume almost doubles with headers.

Yes its going to be louder and if you have the Xtremes take that into consideration with your situation (ie apartment, community etc), some have swapped to the Corsa sport instead of the Xtremes when doing headers. Indeed I'm in PG county and haven't had any complaints usually just compliments lol and I love it, but MoCo and VA can be more of a PIA with it around here. We can meet up sometime and you can hear it.

Hmmm gotta work with what you have first. So add headers and maybe go to a quieter catback later

Well for fitment and quality I am a fan of ARH. Now any header with Corsa Extreme is going to be loud. I have Extremes on my car now. When I do headers I plan on getting Corsa Sport mufflers.

I just ordered a set of Kooks catted headers for my car. How do you think the volume will be with my MBRP Street cat back? I was considering swapping out the mufflers if it was too loud.
