One day I was waiting at the traffic light to cross, when a mother and her young son came up. The little boy kept pressing the walk button over and over, which the mother replied, stop pushing it, it won't turn faster if you keep pushing it. Then the boy looked at me, and i whispered, Yes it does. And the boy kept pressing the button faster. haha

KEEP COMPLAINING AND MAKE SURE YOU USE ALL CAPS SO THAT FORD SEES IT AND WILL RUSH YOUR CAR SOONER TO THE DEALERSHIP! HAHA

Orders don't come with guaranteed delivery dates, what's all the YELLING about?

"Stock orders that were placed through 7/10 are Job #1 orders. They started production a month ago and are being held at the factory for Quality Control.

When Ford is happy with Job #1 orders, they will give the green light on the "OK to Buy". We* think this has happened or will happen very soon.

When "OK to Buy" is given, Stock orders will ship and Job #2 will start (this consists of Stock orders that were placed after 7/10 and all Retail orders).

Look for movement very soon!"

My order was placed as dealer stock on June 9th.... Don't even have a vin yet.. no way I'm a job 1 order. I would think as a job 2 "stock" order, I would have a vin by now. Tricia and my dealer have no info as of last week. ...hoping for something soon.

You would be a Job #1 Stock order - since you placed your order before 7/10. Some others that ordered before 7/10 don't have a VIN, either... there are other factors.

Job #2 Stock orders and ALL Retail orders will start to get VINs next week (we hope).

Like I said... this is info I've pieced together from reputable sources... but still don't take it as gospel.

Only way you're getting a car in Sept/Oct is if the dealer used an allocation for it.

MINE WAS NOT RETAIL BUT A SPECIAL ORDER WITH A DEPOSIT SO I COULD GET IT BEFORE NEXT YEAR.

A "special order" is a "Retail Order," as opposed to a dealer stock order. The first 15,000 or so cars are dealer stock. Not a single retail car will be built before the end of September. In the meantime, NO ONE has a car yet. But the dealer stock orders will indeed begin to show up before the retail orders, and before your car, especially since you don't have a VIN or a build date yet.

No one to be mad at. The order banks opened 5/22 so your order went in as early as anyone's and will be handled in the order Ford (in their infinite and inscrutable wisdom) chooses to handle them.

I PUT MY DEPOSIT DOWN AND ORDERED MY SILVER V8 GT ON APRIL 10TH. MY DEALER DID NOT TURN THEIR SPECIAL ORDERS IN TILL 5/22. MY DEALERSHIP IN OXFORD MS FINALLY GAVE ME MY ORDER NUMBER AND TRACKING NUMBER ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND MY ORDER SHOWS TO BE IN ORDER PROCESSING. I CHECK EVERY DAY AND IT'S STILL THE SAME. IF ANYONE HAS SEEN THEIR ORDER MOVE INTO THE PRODUCTION SLOT PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I LIVE CLOSE TO MEMPHIS AND IF ONE OF THE BIG DEALERSHIPS GET THEIR CARS IN BEFORE I GET MY SPECIAL ORDER I WILL HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS FOR FORD AND MY OXFORD DEALERSHIP.
