No cigar. CA border is right, duh.
You must read my thread on the main S550 forum. My use of the word ‘tricky’ was Louisiana sarcasm 😊

Nope, nope, nope.
Based on the shrubbery on the hillside, it looks like Nevada.
Based on the spacing of the guardrail posts, that is standard Arizona DOT spacing.
Based on the curb dimensions and finishing method, it screams Texas.
Based on the rumble strip depth adjacent to the white line, I'm seeing New Mexico.

With all of the technical research on the fine details that nobody else noticed, I'm gonna say my final answer is Ypsilanti, Michigan.

You guys are rookies......................... sheeesh!

Ding ding ding!

The ride up US 95 from I 40 was cool. Not so much for curves but the high speed limit and dolphin humps, and of course the views

With the exception of country and continent, hemisphere, galaxy and solar system, I think I nailed this one.
I know, this one was ridiculous. I only posted it because of the backstory. This is is the city of Sibenik, Croatia. The story is the town government filled in the corners with these triangles to stop drunks from peeing into them. Do I believe it? Sure, why not? :cwl:

I'm curious - for trips like this (open to anyone to respond), does one set up an all inclusive tour guide that is there for you the entire time you're visiting?

Yea, sounds like a dumb question to some - but if you don't ask, you never know the answer.

I ask because I've never been overseas - and don't know the intricacies to even do something like that, especially with no connections (such as friends or relatives in such regions).

What's all involved? Like from landing there - I mean, does a guide pick you up and take you around, or are there planned guides to meet in certain areas?

Plus there's so many scams anymore - trustworthiness...

Thanks for any Input to a dumb question...

CJ, you know better than anyone that there are no dumb questions.

Although my wife and I have travelled a lot within the US and the Caribbean this was our first trip to Europe. It was our 50th anniversary gift to ourselves and we went all out. Took a 15 day cruise on Viking with extra days in Athens and Rome. Excursions can be planned in a number of ways as can every part of your trip. My #1 suggestion is to find a top quality travel advisor and let them know what you are interested in. The good ones will guide you every step of the way.

The only part of our trip that we did on our own was our tour in Athens. For help there we went to, of course, Facebook. Found a number of price Viking groups and asked them a thousand questions. found the perfect tour guide and had an awesome time. In Athens we had a private car pick us up and show us around. We had a separate tour guide just for the Acropolis.

In Rome we had a woman recommended by my TA for a day and a half private tour. The Vatican on one day, the rest of inner Rome on the next. None of these things are cheap, or even necessary, but they were a lot of fun.

There is so much more so please message me if I can be of any further assistance.
