Had a "special call" from the manager at my dealership regarding the "fantastic news" regarding my mustang. He went on to say that my car made the last boat which arrives in melbourne on the 10th January and that I should have it end of Jan. Amusing thing about this is my car departed 23rd November on the Tarago and reaches Melbourne 23rd December. I'm dumbfounded at the lack of knowledge.
OMFG...close but no cigar....:frusty::frusty::doh::doh:

Ford Oz needs to get into the mushroom growing business....they have all the elements required to be successful.

I want to know how long it takes someone to figure out how to re-enable line lock? Maybe a tune will sort it?

I read over on Ford Forums that one of the reasons for the delay is that some cars in the first shipment did not have the digital radio fitted. I thought that sort of thing would be fixed at the Upfitters. Anyway, that's from someone who is usually accurate with his posts.

FWIW, "Frostee" over on Whirlpool knows someone who took delivery last Friday in Melbourne, so it seems there's at least 1 person other than Mr.3AW who has a car!

Just had a chat to someone at ford. His reasoning behind the delay was that some of the cars were shipped with the wrong wheels. I keep updating my Mrs about the ford Saga and normally its like talking to a brick wall, but even she's getting pissed off now.

Wrong wheels my ass. I should have put my wife onto the Ford customer service people weeks ago. We would all have our cars by now if had.

haha I hear you, I still remember vividly about 20 years ago I had some new wheels installed on my car and the fitter slightly scratched one. I was pissed but the fitter said it wasn't him we had a few words the owner of the store (where I bought them) wasn't real helpful...When I got home and told my wife she spat it, grabbed my keys and said I'll see you in a while.....1hr later arrived home with a brand new wheel installed....I didn't ask questions I just gently kissed her forehead and asked if there was any jobs I could do around the house.

Get this, FoA are now advising of Feb/Mar build and May/Jun delivery for batch 1 pre 6-March-15 sales contract holders. Only after you ask on Facebook for a status update. Contradicting advice provided in those personal phone calls we all got weeks ago. Pathetic effort, again

I am done with this entire process and the total lack of consistent updates from Ford Motor Company Australia since the ship docked in Fremantle. I have lost all the enthusiasm, passion and excitement about taking delivery of my Mustang. I really feel sorry for you guys on the east coast who are now into week 3 since Mustangs were off-loaded from Parsifal and Ford continue to find more excuses for no deliveries rolled out on a daily basis.

I would think Ford has a growing number of really pissed off Mustang customers.

I am just lost for words. My wife doesn't ask me when are we taking delivery anymore and neither do any of my family or mates. We don't talk about Mustang any longer in our house.

You had better get your wife onto the phone to Ford Oz straight away......I think she is about the only source of hope the first batchers have left....

Seems my car is at the docks for a few days now... god knows when it'll even see a ship.
