When is the first delivery to Oz?

Had a great 800 km run on Route66 out of Las Vegas last Sunday. It was a convertible 6 but was a great car to drive. Sorry to rub it in Darren but you did ask for pics
First impressions: We are getting alot of car for our money, sensational ride, I think some may find it a little hard but for me it was perfect, corners like it's on rails, performance of the 6 is impressive even though it's not coming to Australia, it's definitely only a 2+2 with very little rear seat room, it had 11,000 miles on the clock and there was no rattles or creaks. Very quiet at 160 km/h

Can't wait to take delivery of my the GT the week of December 7.

Let's hope they sail out of Baltimore on Thursday.

What was the road noise like in the convertible with the roof up ?? With the roof down, what was the wind like in the cabin...u reckon it needs a wind deflector ?

Roof up .... very hard to tell it was a rag top to be honest even at 100 mph. Maybe just a little bit of wind noise where the 2 windows meet at what would normally be the B pillar. With roof down very little wind moving around inside the cabin. If I had a vert on order I'd be more than happy with what Ford have done to reduce wind noise. Also it's very quick to raise and lower the roof.

Very impressed.

Thanks so much for the review and pics gs60wa. I have a Silver GT Convertible on order and yours is probably the best picture I have seen to be sure I chose the right colour combo for my liking. Ofcourse mine will have larger nickel lustre wheels etc but the review and the pictures atleast takes a tiny bit of the sting I am feeling from the wait. Thanks again mate. :clap2:

This pic shows you what the roof attaches to so you can get a feel for the structure there. You can also see the kind of roads the Stang got thrown around Just sticks to the road like the proverbial to a blanket and you had to work to get the tail loose.

WWL system is still showing 173 Mustangs to be loaded on PARSIFAL departing for NZ and Australia Oct 29. That system is updated in realtime so hopefully that date won't change in the next 25.5 hours and the only change will be the status to LOADED ON VESSEL.

I had a call on Tuesday from the General Manager of Sales at Ford Motor Company of Australia to confirm details around the shipment of my Mustang from the USA this week and to confirm delivery processes and dates. He confirmed my GT is on the PARSIFAL so I would hope a GM would be better informed than a Dealer Sales Manager.

If no cars ship on the PARSIFAL ... I think it would be fair to say it's going to hit the fan.

that GM of yours deserves a medal he's the 1st Ford bloke to have any facts
I see now that more cars have arrived at the port 29th and are booked on the Fidelio sailing next Wed.
Lets hope the yanks have a busy few days and hundreds more turn up (including mine)
