I recently purchased and installed

MBRP Cat Back Exhaust
K&N Air Intake

Should I be looking at a tune next? Or is the car going be ok? A Guy at summit racing said that with the Exhaust and the Intake I might be running a bit lean but I dunno. If thats the case then whats a decent Tuner + Tune going to run me? I'm anticipating like 400 for a SCTX4 and a Tune.

I plan on upgrading my Wheels to 20" as well. I'm considering a Catch Can and Headers in the near future.

there is litterally nothing different with a non tune intake and a catback far as running lean or rich (at least from what I'm aware of...it's still same amount of air being sucked in and spit out)

it's tune time when you get bored put it that way and sometimes you just have to say F it to the warranty and live dangerously. Tunes around here from steeda, lund, etc are safe though.

When you don't care about your warranty anymore!

If you don't care about your warranty then get a tune as soon as possible. It's worth it. You could also go with a Roush tune and get their warranty if you want peace of mind.

I will be tuning the first day I change my intake and put on long tube headers. Otherwise, stock tune is fine for stock parts. Not going to waste tuning when it just has to be adjusted a second time for bolt ons.

Modern cars with aftermarket catback exhaust systems and non tune required intakes yield nothing in performance except for sound and weight reduction. The 80's was a long time ago. The only time a bigger catback system might increase power is if you were really running that much power, probably in the 800 - 1000 HP range as a start.

Whats the general opinion on trading in a car that has been modded with a tune (or other stuff)? Does the price you get suffer, increase, or not make a difference? Just wondering if I tune this car and then decide to trade it in (for another mustang, of course :D) a few years down the road. Only have 3yr/36k mile warranty so it will likely be up by that point whether I void it or not.
