Do our wheels really weigh 31 lbs or more? I did some research online and using what I found to be 61 lb per wheel this is both the front and rear wheels and tires. And then saw that the 305/35/19 PSS tires weighs at least 30lb so subtracting that is about 31lbs per wheel that is pretty heavy.

28lbs iirc for the rim. Its heavy because its very wide, and its built to not get trashed in daily driving on the typical city streets. This isn't a 7 or 8" rim you would find on most street cars.

I believe Paul over at Need4Speed weighed them while he was designing the Project wheels and they were somewhere around 31 or 32lbs each. You can sift through the Project 6GR thread and I think an exact weight is listed in there for them.

Here is the page with the exact weights listed: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36511&page=22

I haven't had a car with rims that small (width wise) in almost 15 years! :D

There are high quality wide wheels that weigh less than 27lbs.. I don't know if you know but the z06 wheels are 23 lbs for a 10.5 wheel I can't imagine another inch giving another 7-8 lbs that's about 80 lbs you could be saving there.

I believe Ford wanted the 350 wheels to be no heavier than the GT PP wheels which are 31 and 29 lbs at 19 x 9.5 and 19 x 9. From what I understand, the 19 x 11's are 31 on the head.

Yep, the oem wheels are boat anchors weighing in at roughly 31f, 32r.

The N4SM R-specs are a good alternative that I would call semi-light. They were targeted to weigh in at about 25lbs, but it seems they will likely tip that target by a pound or so. Weights on those wheels should be published soon.

Ehh 18 lbs for a cf wheel is still pretty heavy koenigseggs cf wheels are really light you can toss them in the air with little effort, and I heard of Wed sport creating their own cf wheels weighing in at 7lbs .. 25-26lbs for a 19x11 wheel is still heavy.. But that's just my opinion il probably be looking into CCWs or something .

Agree, it's heavy. But the price point is reflective of that weight.
