Mine was 3690 with 1/4 fuel.
Being one of the older members on here I decided to pull out and reread my original copy of Road & Track dated May, 1965 as they did a road test on the new 1965 Mustang GT-350 (R&T called it Mustang 350 GT on the final summary page).

Interesting to note that the curb weight back then on the '65 GT-350 was 2790 pounds for the street version and only ~2550 pounds for the R model or competition version.

Based on the original weight of the GT-350 I suggest that Ford needs to somehow find more ways to put our Ponies on a diet!

Also noted that the redline for the '65 Street version was 6500 RPM which was very cool and impressive back some 52 years ago.

According to Ford Estimated Base Curb Weight

2017 GT350: 3760lb
2017 GT350R: 3662lb
GT350R with R-electronics package: TBD

So the difference between R and Non-R is 98lb. 60lb+ saving are from wheels and tires. 32lb vs 18lb each wheel. 30lb+ is from rear seat and trunk liner delete. And more from radio, air condition and resonators delete. But R's rear spoiler weighs 11lb so several pounds heavier than track pack spoiler. Larger front splitter also add a little.
One gallon of gasoline is about 6 lb and we have about 16 gallon tank so almost 100 lb for one full tank
2017 Base GT350 comes with track package so it should weight about same as 2015, 2016 Track pack.

If that's really the R's weight, then I am taking my 2016 Base for a weigh-in once I get my forged rims on it. Full tank of gas of course.

It's interesting that the larger tires of the R actually weigh a little less than the non-R. Seems counter intuitive. The Cup 2 must just be lighter tire vs. the MPSS, which I didn't realize until you pointed this out.

It should be fairly easy to get a non-R close to the R's weight. Getting a really lightweight set of forged rims and lighter tires would make the biggest impact. Doing a rear seat delete, removing the floor mats, trunk lining and taking out the flat tire kit are all simple enough to do. Swap out the stock battery for a lightweight replacement will lose a little more. At that point, the weight should be about the same.

My 16 R with tech pack weighed 3661 pounds in my race setup. No mats, no air pump in trunk and 1/2 tank of fuel. That's on a Corner weight scales. By the way the corner balance with my 180 pounds in drivers seat was very balanced from the factory. Much better balanced than my 16 GTPP car was from the factory so Ford definitely paid attention to the suspension and corner balance for the GT350 R.

I have managed to lighten my GTPP (originally 3719 lbs) to 3204 pounds though with Watson Roll bar and harnesses added and my own Rear seat Delete kit.(working on losing another 40-50 pounds too.) It also has 18x 11" front wheels and 18 x 12" rear wheels with 315/335 Rivals on it too. It also most recently has a 5.2L Shelby motor with the CPC in it putting down 485 HP with a base tune.

I believe the amps and hardware in electronics package is at least 20 Lbs heavier than the track pack... speakers are lighter too in track pack. Also, the seats are not the same...track pack recaros are much lighter than regular leather seats with heating and everything else.

Expect a track pack to be lighter anyway by at least 50 lbs, resulting in a much better performance on track than a non track pack.

What would you estimate weight of the AC and radio equipment? Does your sticker say 3600 lbs? I seen the lines are ran for the ac. I'm suprised they even run them.
I have the base model and the sticker says 3600 lbs. I'm assuming it's under 3650 or they would have probably rounded it up.

My bad... Sorry Typo ...3604 lbs. Roll bar and harnesses added 73 lbs. I have reduced it by almost 200 lbs if you add the weight of safety devices that I had to overcome. That weight would have to go into the GT 350R to be "equivalent".

It is much harder to find drop weight on the S550 chassis as compared to my S197. Goal is to get close to 3500 lbs or less.

I would have to estimate the condenser, compressor, (I have unbolted it from motor on engine swap but not disconnected it) the lines and the Nav/Stereo system could weight close to 45 lbs total. I have added a Kicker amplified subwoofer to both cars witch weights 18 lbs but I can unbolt and remove the sub/amp box with 2 bolts quickly for racing. I always remove them when racing or weighing either car though.
