Has anyone else had issues with wheel weights falling off their 2015-2020 GT performance pack wheels? These guys: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1007-M1995B

I ordered a set mounted and balanced from Tire Rack and the weights fell off in transit. I had them re balanced locally (at Tire Rack's expense, so credit to them) and they fell off in my garage after the ride home (~ 5 miles). Different style/brand/collor of weights each time. I find it hard to believe both shops can't figure out how to stick wheel weights on, so is there anything special needed with these wheels? I have the ability to balance them myself so if you know certain brands that stick better than others I am all ears.

You can tape over top of the weights to keep them in place. Thats the most secure way I know.

Try not to put weights on a sloped part of the barrel

They need to clean the rims really good. I use rubbing alcohol or carb cleaner. On my race bikes we were always required to put duct tape over them to hold them on also.

This has been my experience. I've never seen a tire place clean the wheels before placing the weights. I started asking them to clean the spot they were putting the weights on, after I had the same problem with my truck.

I clean my barrels with degreaser, then alcohol before I take them to have tires put on. Discount Tire has also applied heat to the replacement weights when the originals dropped off in the garage.

Environmentally friendly adhesives tend to suck, but not stick.

Your wheels HAVE to be dirty, causing these to fall off. Clean them super good and get any residue off before you have them put them on again.

carb cleaner -> aluminum foil HVAC tape. I found some black HVAC tape on eBay if that makes it less aesthetically unappealing for you.
