Hi All,
So I’ve been out of the Mustang game for about 8 years and have lost most of my contacts that can help me.

hopefully someone will know what I need.

I have a 23 Mach 1. I want to put a second set of wheels on it for summer and winter. I want something that sits close to flush as possible without rubbing once it’s lowered.

I am thinking about a 20x10 in the rear with a 305 Michelin and a 255 in the front. The rear wheel is a Rohana RFX2 and in the front a 20x9. Rear offset is 25mm and front is 35mm.

my question is a) does anyone have these or similar that can show me a photo and b) does anyone know if these will fit close to flush without poking out?

thanks very much in advance for your help!

Matt

Do you have those offsets backwards? Is it +35 rear and +25 front? If that's the case, those wheels will fit but anything wider than 285 width tires in the rear will poke without camber adjustment. +25 will definitely poke in the rear.

For a staggered setup look for 10 inch wheel width for the front with +35 offset and 285 tires, and 11 inch wheels for the rear with +50 offset and 305 tires.

Not a Mach 1, but I run 20x10 +35 square with 285/35r20 tires. Pretty flush all the way around

Also, if you want to run 305’s in the rear, I would suggest a 20x11 +50 offset. 305 will bulge on a 10” wheel

Thanks you for the responses. Yes, I did have the of off set listed backwards, sorry about that.

I went ahead and got some HRE wheels going with a 10 inch front and 11 inch rear with a +35 and +50 for the rear.

I am going to run 275/35 front and I’m trying to decide between a 305/35 or 305/30 for the rear. I don’t think I am going to lower the car since the roads around here are horrible so I am thinking it may look better with the slightly taller tire in the rear so there is very little gap and leaving the front as is.

Any thoughts or opinions on why I should or shouldn’t run one of the rear specs?

Again, thanks.

thanks for the help. I am doing what you suggest, I just don’t want any poke.

Are the new wheels 19's or 20's? If 19 get a 305/35 rear. if they are 20's get a 315/30 both are real close to the stock 275/40/19 rears in diameter.

Then get a 315/30 rear and a 295/30 front they are the same height and diameter as the 255/40, 275/40 set you have now. No speedo correction needed. Also they are the perfect size for a 10" /11" staggered setup.

Agreed, keep your tire heights as close to stock as possible. General rule of thumb is a difference no greater than 3% (either shorter or taller).

Nice looking ride! A lot of people like the 305/35 in the rear with 20s for how well it fills the wheel gap. It will result in speedometer error, though, because of the taller tire.

A 305/30 will be a little shorter in diameter than your 275/35 front, so a 315/30 rear would match up better from that standpoint.
