you should have no problem, I just put stock gt350 rims on my base gt which in the front is 10.5" rim, 295 tire, +30mm offset and I can get my index finger between the inside tire and the strut, plenty of room.

What's the full spec of that tire/rim?
And is that the biggest you can go on the front?

Rim is 10.5x19 +30 offset, tire is 295 35/19 ps cup2. I could easily fit a 305, plenty of room left at the strut, which im planning to do, but probably also use the mach 1 fender flares for poke.

So, would a 18x10.5 rim with a 295/35/18 tire be ideal.

Cant answer that question without knowing the offset of the rim. But anything in +30 range (+ or - 5) should be okay. But not many 18" rims will clear the 6 piston brembo calipers if you have that option.

I run 285/35r20 on 20x10 +35 wheels with no issues. 285 is a tad wide for 9.5” wide wheels but not terrible. 275 is the better fit for 9.5” wheels. You can run 275/35r20 all day long with no issues.
