Hello! So i've been thinking about nitto nt555r 305/35r20 tires for my '15 stang. I currently have 20x10 wheels with 42mm offset. Will the nittos fit fine on the rim and without any poking out of the fender? I am currently not lowered and I am on completely stock suspension so I do not think rubbing will be an issue. Let me know if the wheel and tire setup will work!! Thanks.

I just went with a 20x10.5 +45 offset with Nitto NT05 305/30. I'm running a 1.3 in drop no rub . Here's a pic

Looks great! So do you think the setup will work for me with a +42 offset?

With a 35 you might stick out past the fender , here is what I went from 20x9.5 +40 275/35 Toyo

Damn thats what I was afraid of. Maybe I should go with a 295/30 instead? Or would the sidewall be too short and look kinda weird?

The difference between a 35 and 30 in a 305 is .6 in so little more then 1/2 in taller .the width of the tire is the same . A 275/35 is as tall but not as wide as a 305/30

Wow this is crazy lol!! Having the hardest time choosing tire size because of worrying about offset, poke, etc. geeze! Maybe someone else will be able to vouch for 305/35 on stock suspension. Really hope so!!

Actually another question! How do the Nt05's hook?

They are sticky , I can actually get on it in second without it stepping out . Don't know how long they will last , really soft and they start life at 7/32 .

I have 295/35-19 front and 305/35-19 rears on stock GT350 wheels with a stock suspension. The fronts poke out a little bit but I actually like how it looks and it handles like a dream compared to the stock PP1 wheels.

The rears are fine though? No poke?

Ah okay. I cant decide between nt555r or nt05r. Prob wont ever take it to track I just want a nice stick street tire and the nt555r seem to be the best option.

A 305/35 profile won't push the tire further outward than a 305/30 but it has a larger diameter so will fill more of the "wheel gap." It's the 42 offset that potentially could cause a little poke. A 305/30 should be fine since the diameter is pretty much stock and you're not lowered. I don't have enough experience to know about the 305/35. I see a lot of pics here that look like they might rub but they apparently don't. :)

You are talking about just the rear, right? If a square setup you will likely need spacers to clear the front suspension on the inside. The widest most go without spacers is 285 with about 35 offset.

Just rear tires! Would never go that wide on the fronts.

No poke at all on the rears. Here are better pics showing the front and rear tires relative to the fenders. Although the fronts do poke out a little, the sidewall slope matches up perfectly with the fender so the tread does not extend past the fender.

The GT350 wheels are front 19 x 10.5 ET30, rear 19 x 11 ET62. Single best mod I have made to the car. The handling and turn-in are dramatically better. No rubbing, stock PP1 springs. The TPMS sensors matched right up, I didn't have to do any programming. Stock lug nuts worked too. I had a custom alignment done by a local Ford dealer, the PP1 and GT350 alignment ranges overlap a little so it's possible to align the car so that it meets both sets of specs. It was harder to drive until I had the alignment done.
