Any lingering "Shoulda got a GT" regret is gone

Now to find a way to swap my Auto for a Manual
Maybe we can trade cars. Although The manual is fun to drive just a bit slower.

Cams, the lack of cams on this platform is notable compared to other engines.

Ford makes a high lift cam for the engine (available through Ford Performance). However, the consensus is that it doesn't do much for the engine. In addition, the labor to put it in is much higher than on many other 4 cylinder engines, and it requires special tools to do the job. You can take care of 80% of what you want to do with valve timing and dwell time through the engine tune...the only parameter you can't adjust is lift ;)

I hear there is a cast aluminum intake manifold in development
Now that's what I'm talking about, cast aluminum intake instead of a huge heavy chunk of billet hanging off the engine :) Can't wait until this CP-E intake is available!! Unlike others in this thread I would NEVER run the MAPerformance billet brick

Think this will help get more air into the engine to keep up with Ford's high lift cam? ;) It's kinda disappointing that a high lift cam only adds 10 HP to the engine...
