I wouldn't have guessed 1964, rather sometime in the late '60s into the '70s.

I'm not a huge wagon fan myself, but I understand the appeal for those with a good sized family. An uncle has a hot-rodded '66 Chevy wagon with a 454 and custom paint and wheels, and it's pretty cool. Not long ago a nice, pale yellow '69 Galaxie wagon with a factory 429 popped up on MN Craigslist at a decent price and I thought too long about it (no real need for a wagon) and someone snapped it up fast. It would have been cool on a set of wide Magnum 500s, especially with a CJ top end slapped on it.

I had a 1960 Chevy 2 door wagon with a 409 and a 4 speed. It was a blast! And it could carry a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood, laying flat. Try that in your SUV!

The Classic station wagons are becoming a collectible now - especially those with the larger V8's... I've seen some hitting Muscle Car Money...

Late 60's-70's Ford Country Squire - my grandfather always had them w/ the larger V8.

Even the El Camino and Ranchero are getting pricey now.
