I'll start by saying I'm a pretty careful driver. No penalties in 18 years of driving. I like to use my cars capabilities but (if I can help it) I don't break the speed limit, jump lights, I use lanes properly, let busses pull out, give way on slip roads, don't enter box junctions unless exit is clear etc, etc, etc. See I don't want people thinking I'm a prick and as I spend a lot of time in city traffic I'm a firm believer that following the rules actually makes the traffic flow a lot better. I like to lead by example.
Anyway, I digress...
Regardless of the above I've still gone and ordered a ridiculously powerful pony car and I intend to find out what it's like to drive as its designers intended. Track days will no doubt be an option, but that could be quite pricey and you still have to share the track with others so there's no real opportunity properly let rip.
Given my clean motoring history, I don't want to enter a supermarket car park after hours and give the rozzers an excuse to throw the book at me.
There must be a legal alternative? Anyone got any suggestions? Maybe one of you good folks owns a large expanse of tarmac and is willing to start a private venture!
