Yuck. Even though there was a lot of press about the car's 3 star safety (was it 2 star in the '17?), when I looked at the detail the car is actually pretty safe for front seat passengers, side impact is really good, rear seat not very good. There are a few things letting it down for front seat passengers, full width protection is not so good (but the more common offset is pretty good) and lack of AEB. Report summary here https://www.ancap.com.au/safety-ratings/ford/mustang/be8eed

Hi, does anyone have the Mishimoto H pipe installed? I've watched the American Muscle videos on the H pipe vs X pipe, I'm considering the H pipe as I would like the car a bit gruffer but not raspy. Also I am not wanting to risk drone at cruising speed.

Edit - dont worry my ADHD got the better of me so it is ordered. I'll let you know how it sounds when it goes on.

I'm going cold turkey on mods for a while. Unfortunately even though modding this car costs 1/3 of what it would cost to do the same things to my F Type, that isnt impressing my wife because I am doing three times as much modding.

Sooooo at the moment waiting for the H pipe to arrive and be fitted, I also ordered the carbon/leather steering wheel replacement (which was when I got busted) which I might be able to fit myself, after that I am going to settle down, might take Subject9 out of my bookmarks...

The new steering wheel is not too difficult Peter. Both Troy and myself have done our own and our's have not fallen off yet. I recommend taking photos of your existing wheel as you pull bits off so that you have the reference for if you run into dramas. Remember to disconnect the battery before starting, to prevent the air bag activating.

Speaking of mods, I put these new exhaust tips on. They are bolt on and turned out looking ok. Without going custom made they are the only off the shelf ones around that fit the oem 3.5 inch tips with no appreciable gaps in tube size. They do extend out further than oem but that is ok. 3.5" inlet and 4" outlet. I would have preferred double wall so that the oem tips were concealed but that is not available.

Yes they do Troy. Exactly same size. There seems to be only the one vendor which is Tritrust1. They are on both ebay and amazon. On each site the black was much the same price but on ebay the freight on the chrome was much higher. Tritrust said it was out of their control as ebay do the freight bit. Ebay could not offer an explanation. On amazon I saved $155 which was down to cost of freight. Mine cost $205 AUS all up. https://www.amazon.com.au/Exhaust-I....5+inch+inlet+exhaust+tip,aps,321&sr=8-7&th=1
