While you can't go wrong with any of those, I would go with a 2015 however I might be biased. Mostly cause the new interior is a night and day difference. However you could always wait for the GT350.

If you're looking for a potential garage queen within your budget: 2013 GT500

If you're looking for a driving car that you might let go of later: 2015 GT w/ the blower

If you're wanting the best of both worlds: 2016 GT350

If I had $50k to spend, I'd get the 2013 GT500 all day. It's something you can have fun with and then put up to sell later on in life or bequeath to the grandkids. S550s with blowers will be standard stuff in a few years...GT500s will not.

50k? Get a GT and add a blower. More car for less money.
And don"t for get to add no warranty on a brand new car, less money till you break it,doesn"t sound like a good choice to me.

id get the gt500 if i wanted something to keep original and take care of, but if not id def go with a premium 2015 GT. Aftermarket for these, like all gen mustangs is going to be awesome (already is)

Shit, it's not even a close comparison!

Any one who says 15 gt over a 13/14 gt500 either:

1. Can't afford a gt500

2. Doesn't know what a gt500 is or is capable of

3. Lives in fantasy land

4. Likes to piss away money on a run of the mill, PLAIN mustang, that will be worthless in 5 years compared to a 2008 gt500! Let alone a 2013!!!

The "new factor" is already worn off the 15. I see so many every day it's almost annoying. V6's all over, covered in mud, bird shit etc.

Know what still turns heads? Gt500's of every single damn year

Ever see 2 gt500's covered in mud?

Ever see a v6 gt500? ( not yet, but give it 3 years...... Hint hint hint!!)

Ehh. I have to disagree. I can afford the Shelby, I know what they are capable of, and as much as I prefer fantasy land, I have to stay grounded. Also, I prefer my money in my pocket. I too had the chance to have a new Shelby but chose the 15.

1) I don't want a manual as daily driver. And my cobra replica has a manual and people will climb over a Shelby mustang to just be near the cobra.

2) I don't want that expensive if a car for a daily driver.

3) I don't buy it to impress other people. I could care less how many I see of anything, if it's fun for me it's what I'll get.

Sure I pee a little every time I see a Shelby, even am 07 still, but for what I need my mustang to do, it's just not the best choice. I had to get out of fantasy land to tell myself the truth and make the right decision.

PS: my le is covered in mud right now. I drove through my yard and a ditch (shallow but it's been raining three days here) cause my driveway was blocked. I'm not washing it with all this rain right now so it'll have to wait till tomorrow. It's been 3 days like that now. Lol. Most of it is washed off from rain but it's still filthy dirty.

Any one who says 15 gt over a 13/14 gt500 either:

1. Can't afford a gt500 - not correct

2. Doesn't know what a gt500 is or is capable of - I know

3. Lives in fantasy land - nope, sure don't

4. Likes to piss away money on a run of the mill, PLAIN mustang, that will be worthless in 5 years compared to a 2008 gt500! Let alone a 2013!!! - completely disagree

The "new factor" is already worn off the 15. I see so many every day it's almost annoying. V6's all over, covered in mud, bird shit etc. - that's because you live in MI, where the cars are produced.

Know what still turns heads? Gt500's of every single damn year

Ever see 2 gt500's covered in mud? - yep, I have. Not everyone takes car of their vehicles, regardless of cost or rarity.

Ever see a v6 gt500? ( not yet, but give it 3 years...... Hint hint hint!!) - looking forward to seeing that power plant.

On a car that will be in the low teens by 2025....or below 10k if they're like the SN95. Fox body Mustangs haven't even started their rise in value (although they're predicted to). The GT500 probably won't ever lose more than 50% of its value before it starts to rise. Especially since the late model S197 are more desirable because they feature a unique motor in the 5.8L. It very well could be the last and most powerful v8 ever made by Ford. The GT350 doesn't come close to it in power and the Ford GT shows that Ford is going all in on Ecoboost. It could be a $100k+ car some day.
