i would ask for all weather floor mats, trunk mat, car cover, x amount of details, and oil changes. I got my 16 GTPP for 32 otd, down from 42 msrp. back in may when there weren't any deals or offers that i could take advantage of. the deals are out there to be had.

That's a good deal already, it seems - my 2016 auto, base was 30k before tax/license and (at the time) that was stellar

Because people quote OTD as the price of the vehicle, not the actual OTD price including TT&L.
I would pay 30K otd (includes all fees, taxes and etc).... I'm getting around 7k off and no financing so they aren't getting my money that way and they are giving me high kbb value for my trade (not making it up on that end either).

Thanks everybody for your input.

Hey Auntiecoco, I saw you are in Georgia too. Which dealer are you buying from? My local dealer is having $7k off MSRP now, but only for 2 days.

I've come across several deals of around 7k off, but acted too late on all of them as they were all too far away. I just found another car I'm interested in, but this one is in Georgia (about 5k off). Wish I could find a place that delivers.

Yeah but my deal wasn't advertised it took some haggling and negotiating... deciding whether to pull the trigger or not. The only thing holding me back is if want to go auto or manual. Always drove autos but I had fun driving it with the stick and caught on pretty well but I am thinking that the thrill of going through the gears will get old. The manual is also 1.5K more (different dealerships)

I want to go auto this time (most of my cars have been manuals) as I hear its actually a little quicker and the fact you can remote start in the winter. Its kind of holding me back though as most of the cars with the options and seat colors I want and are manuals and (most of the time) a little cheaper. IDK, I did just find a sweet looking 15 ruby red with recaros that is a manual, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of why I wanted to get the new mustang.

I think right now dealers are going to do at least $5k off the MSRP in Georgia. This is the first time that I got a dealer to offer $7k off, so it is really tempting. I have to wait until August to pull the trigger and I hope there are still some cars left that I want at that time, maybe even cheaper:)

Yeah that's the thing..... do I wait and hope for deeper discounts or buy now? Akins Ford had some 15's for $8,000 to $10,000 off but by then you are usually stuck with the yellow or fully loaded mustangs that now body wants.

True, I've noticed some people do that. Out the door is how much you write the check for. Not before taxes, fees, etc.

For me, the discount is good enough now. My quote was $39k OTD at the end of June and now is only $37k OTD. If there is nothing I like in August, I will just order the new 2017 with x-plan, though I really like the hood blinkers on 2016.

Akins Ford's deal ends today, at least that is what the sales manager told me yesterday. Athens Ford is not matching their quote. I believe Nalley Ford in Sandy Springs still have some 2016 in stock, but they are at the same price as Athens Ford($5k off MSRP).

FYI, I think you can ask floor mats, tints, clearcoat and maintenance.

Can you please send me a PM with the dealer? I am in Georgia and looking for a 2016 Mustang V6 and the best OTD price I have is pretty close to yours for the GT.

Thank you!
