So driving when cold has a different effect? A load on engine when cold is better than idling/no load?Idling when cold adds extra wear on the engine than if it were warm.
You're not going full WOT when cold. The only reason to idle is to get your Oil circulated which only takes a few seconds. After that your car will warm up to operating temperature MUCH faster when moving than when sitting idle. Also, when idle you are burning more oil than when moving. So driving when cold has a different effect? A load on engine when cold is better than idling/no load?
