What lap top?

I finally have a need for a lap top. So I may as well get one that will suite both of my wants. If a guy wanted to tinker with tuning on a S-550, what would be a good choice of lap top? Any one of them will cover my other need. Which will be checking data logs off of a SD card for another toy.

If you want something cheap that'll get the job done I'd head to Target and check their clearance rack. They usually have some decent budget laptops for 200-300.

You'll definitely find some now that college is back in session and if someone was going to buy one they would have already.

If you're not looking for cheap and you're not opposed to a mac I'd wait until the end of next month for the new mac models to come out.

I just bought a Nextbook 10.1 for $126 on Amazon. No clue if it will do what you want it to, but it comes with Windows 10 on it. Impulse buy for me, it works, but no where near as fast for reading the forums as my phone or desktop so it will probably sit until the battery no longer holds a charge. Just wanted to offer that there are Windows units that are pretty cheap now adays.

I just bought this model for the same reasons you mentioned... It's very powerful (core i5), lots of storage (1Tb), has an actual cd/dvd player and 8Gb of memory for under $500.
