I've been seriously contemplating a GT350. Trying to get my expenses in check, just curious what kind of gas mileage you guys are getting. My average is 18 and on the highway with cruise control set to 85mph I get 28+ mpg. I saw the gt350 EPA is 21. Just curious why so much lower? I know it's a different engine, but with my mods my HP isn't too far away from the Shelby. I know the gearing helps for me, 3.31 vs the 3.73. Does that extra .2 litres effect the mileage that much?

highway I've gotten 24mpg highway and it doesn't seem to care about speed. in fact seems happier about 80 than 65. In town is going to depend a ton on what kind of roads and traffic you have, as well as driving style.

This is a naturally aspirated high volume V8 with over 500 horse power, you are probably going to get 11-12 mpg city and 18-19 in highway if you drive it "properly". Gas in this country is 1/4 of what it is elsewhere, we should all be grateful:D

In the 10K miles city and highway I've driven mine, I'm averaging right at 19mpg. I've seen 24-25 mpg on long interstate drives.

Wow - I'm surprised by how much lower everyone's experience is than mine. I got much better mileage in my GT350 than the Boss I had before. My city mileage (cummuting to work/no highway) was about 19 mpg while on the highway was getting well above 24.

I love my GT350, but if you're the least bit concerned with mileage this probably ain't the car for you, IMO. I can get 24 on the highway, but only 10-11 around town, though I do tend to beat it like a rented mule. My average is around 15 but this is slanted toward in town driving, not highway.

OTOH, I've yet to drive the car without a sh*t eatin' grin on my face :D

First 1500 miles my avg was 13.6 with maybe 20 percent of that highway. Did a 50 mile road trip last night and averaged 24.9 on the highway at 75

Averaging about 14.6 mixed highway and city. The smallish tank and gas mileage make for frequent fill ups. Totally worth it!

My 2011 GT automatic with 3.15 rear gears has averaged 27 MPG for the first 46,000 miles, and managed 31.3 MPG on a 3,100 mile cruise a few years ago. The 2011 GT turns 2,000 RPM at 70 MPH in 6th gear. Surprisingly, my 2017 GT350 with 3.73 gears also turns 2,000 RPM at 70 MPH in 6th gear. So far, I am averaging about 21.5 MPG in the GT350. The MPG gauge in the GT350 (and likely in your GT also) over-estimates by about 7% (on my GT it underestimates by a consistent 6% to 8%). Attached are 65/70 MPH toll road with some 55 MPH country road (one way to the same destination - extended delays due to stopped traffic on the toll road lowered the last two runs by 1 or 2 MPG) The first of the attached pictures is actually 24.92 MPG, the second at 23.93 MPG, and the third should be close to 23.8 MPG (the 2011 GT averaged 28+ on the same trip at the same speed with premium in both vehicles).

So, with a gentle foot, expect the GT350 to manage 4 to 6 MPG less than your current GT (decrease by a further 30% if you run the GT350 exhaust in sport mode and/or you consistently push the car into the higher RPM range).

I have over 8,000 miles on my GT350. I am averaging 18-19 MPG around town, I am getting 24-25 MPG on the highway at 70-75 mph. I ran a 25 mile run on the highway early one Sunday morning at 70 mph with very little traffic and I got over 31 MPG. It was a lot of work, driving like you would not want to drive a car like this.
