At Steeda right now. They found the problem. The rubber piece that the spring sits into was broke. Theres 2 rubber nub looking things..... One was broke so everytime the wheel was turned it was just dragging it. They are really awesome here.

the rubber 'pancake' at the top of the spring that rests between it and capturing plate? Did they lube the contact surface?

No idea, but the shop that did the work replaced it twice so odd for sure. Once at install and when they were trying to figure out the issue. They did say there was some damage to the camber plate from the shop so they're replacing that too. I'll know for sure once they are done if it fixed it.

OK final update. The tech took the old camber plate apart. Said something about the bushing doing something it shouldn't have. So it was definitely the plate causing the root issue. They can't say if it's something the shop did or just a faulty plate. The noise was all good except for when turning the wheel all the way to the left then it would have a single click. Took it all apart again, replaced the strut. Now everything is quiet. Had no idea their struts were Koni private labels. Learn something new everyday.

almost. They get them from the same contract manufacturer who builds the Konis. The parts are basically identical except the damping on the Steeda's is different from the Koni's.
