I orderd the optional 19" premium wheels. Only nice wheels that ford offers with this car aside from the PP ones.

You give Ford way too much credit. Their wheels are strong but they are heavy. There are lots of aftermarket wheel as strong or stronger that weigh less.
Not sure who you're directing that to, but my point was that with aftermarket, you generally just don't know. Personally, I never said anything about weight, but in terms of giving Ford credit, I'd give it where its due. Being in the industry, I have some idea of the validation work that goes into development of new parts. I don't think its too much to state that they likely test well beyond any aftermarket company. It's not just the strength or durability of the part, but the entire production process that is validated to deliver good parts.

Ordered the 19" Premium Paint wheels, option 648 I do believe. Only avail on 400 and 401 models, so should be fairly exclusive. And, can still get spare tire, which I did.

Which is why I will be buying aftermarket wheels at some point.

I just felt that 1000$ that I could finance on top of the vehicle for a nicer looking wheel was worth it. Small price to pay to be happy with how my car looks as opposed to how it looks with the stock gt wheels.

Good point, won't have many of these wheels out there unless you have a GT Prem. Says painted, painted what color? Black or dark grey?

I want an auto GT premium but I am really turned off by the 8.5 inch width. My current 05 GT has GT500 takeoffs with 285s on the back and it looks incredible from behind, plus I need the added rubber for my positive displacement blower. I hate skinny tires on performance cars. The 20s are too big for me. Too many times at the drag strip did I see Stangs with 20s costing them a few tenths.

I would love to have everything from the PP except the suspension mods. I dont want a tight road race suspension on a car that I only strip with.

I just wish they were more flexible with ordering what YOU need.

I can't decide between the pp 19s or going for the 20s..... This would all be solved if they had a 20 inch option for the pp

Why can't I get the PP with black wheels with Auto/vert? Anyone want to trade their black PP wheels for mine?

No but I'll sell them to you this winter.

I want my car to look different than all the other Mustangs it isn't going to with factory wheels.

These are the low gloss 18" wheels. I wish they were 19s but the style and the color is nice. I am a 5-spoke design person - easy to clean, classic looks.

I am getting them on my Magnetic fastback GT Premium...
And I got them on my Oxford White GT Premium. Same reasons. I like five-spoke and these look a little Torq-Thrust at a reasonable price. I drive a lot (30k a year), and I'd rather be replacing 18" all-seasons than 20" summers, LOL.

I personally like the stock 18" on the GT vs the 18" low gloss. Those 5 spokes just remind me of Audi. So if I'm sticking with 18's I'm sticking with the stock ones.

I'd like to get the 19" optional but don't know if I will or not. I wish they were darker. I LOVE the Ruby Red with the darker wheels (not the gloss black)

I might look aftermarket for 19"s and just do that whenever the 18" wheels wear out.
