What does this plug do?

2021 Mustang GT
This is on the driver side, on the firewall near the brake pedal (it is the grey connector)
No plug attaches and wire seems to be cut and tucked away (salvage vehicle)
Help is very much appreciated.

Might the clutch pedal position connector? Mines manual so it’s connected. If you’re auto I could see why it’s blank.

Ahhh okey, seems very possible, I have the auto I was down there replacing and an airbag when I noticed it

2016 Mustang GT Premium - Race Red
I was hunting for the source of a rattle under the dash of my 2016 GT (auto trans) and came across this seemingly orphaned connector. I could find nothing else disconnected, so I headed here to ask about it. And, like usual, a quick search gave me the answer. Geez I love this site!
