I always thought that "A" plan was the best deal because it is the real employee price, but based on what I am reading, $5K off less rebates is not a very good deal on a $43K GT Premium California Special.

When it came to the different plans, I thought the same...must be a better deal. But compared to 1 or 2 dealers I've spoken to...it's not. They can do significantly better OTD. No membership needed. No connections needed. Just see what rebates you may qualify for and get a coupon and you're a couple grand ahead of all these plans.

Again, just my experience. I'd love to be proven wrong!

The "A" plan is all hold backs, no advertising and a fixed $275 fee, less rebates. I think it is the rebates at the time that have the impact, I also think people are including value of the trade in the numbers that they are talking. I have beat "X" plan, but never "A" plan.

Problem is that the "invoice" price is significantly more for the plans than what I'm seeing listed as normal pricing on the dealer sites. So again, seems like they are robbing the dealer/Ford blind but it's just a poorly labeled price that leads people to believe they are getting a special deal.

I think it was last week, might have been the week before. I looked at the X plan pricing (that you need a PIN for) which had everything listed on a spreadsheet. On the BASE GT...no performance pack, no premium trim, no extras. I think it was $30k...somewhere around there. Add on the PP and you're at $32k-$33k. Meanwhile my local dealer wants $33.8k out the door for a GT w/ PP and a few hours away I can get the same thing for $33 OTD...BEFORE coupon and that's without any negotiating!

Still trying to get a handle on the pricing of these cars though. Pricing does seem to be all over the price and they don't depreciate and instead apparently go up in value over time!

I'm psyched to own one!! :D

Good deal.

Seems like Koons is really consistent with their pricing and basically has a no negotiations policy. That's nice.

Yea, it was a very easy experience compared to what I was anticipating. They started a little too high for what I wanted to finance but through a few clever rebates and beating my pre-approved financing they actually undercut my goal.

The salesman, financing manager, and sales manager all were super helpful, respectful, and just really down to earth with the whole process. This is the first new car I have bought and I couldn't be happier.

Akins Ford, Ga now has all mustangs $6,000 off MSRP for those interested. Really tempting!

When you ask how the $6K is calculated, they start back peddling. They are going to send me an email with the details. I have seen too many ads like this and once you peel the onion back, you find that it includes a trade, or high finance rates, or something else that makes it not what it appears.

Sorry, I don't trust car dealers.

Just got an email from them. They will match my A plan price, but can't beat it.

Like I said before, when you start to peel the deal back, most deals are not what they appear. Just like Vegas, the house always wins.

Just had a similar experience. Asked if rebates from ford were figured in to their "our price". They weren't able to tell me without a contact number/e-mail.

Both posts make sense to me I hope some forum members will share their experiences with the dealership. A couple people have bought from them. I recall one member got 11,000 off MSRP and posted an invoice I believe but it was a 2015 in triple yellow a unpopular color option.

Here is what they told me.

"We are trying to build our allocation on ford mustang orders for Akins. We are doing $4000 off plus another thousand dollars when you finance plus another thousand dollars with the trade-in. Are you going to finance? Thanks Woody Sowder 770-402-4459",

So, how much of the $4,000 is rebates that you don't qualify for, such as college grad $500, Military $500, lease renew $1,000 etc......

Price paid on this thread means nothing because you don't know the whole story, only what people think they paid. Just like this deal, if it sounds to good to be true, go down the road.

The deal is real, but you have to trade and don't expect a good interest rate. In the end, my wife, whom I told was crazy at the time. Got a local dealer to match the deal to make the sale, or we were driving to GA. In the end they did better, cause they threw in the spare tire and gave me financing I am happy to keep. 1.74% for 60 months. Made my Mustang dream come true sooner rather than later or not at all because of this and I am very happy overall. Show the deal to your most aggressive dealer and tell them you will travel to get it but you wanted to give them the chance first. They either will or will not make the deal.
