Lowering springs

Just fitted full set of springs took about 4 hours it's quite hard to do without a lift no wonder Bill uses a lift instead of jack and jack stands, managed to scratch my arms to bits , rear hasn't lowered as much as it says i presume it will settle after a few days. 35mm front 25mm rear.

Washed baby for the first time this evening, bright colours really do attract the bugs though that drowned on the wet body before I dry her.

Not so much a case of what I've done to my Mustang today... more what I've done to it and with it since my return from my latest shopping trip to the US two weeks ago!

Brought this (12" x 18" x 5'10") box of goodies back with me on the plane...

And have subsequently fitted:

Roush side scoops, rocker winglets and a very 'LOUD' MRT resonator delete H-pipe (to complement the RAB's)...

GT350 Track Pack rear spoiler and rear tailgate panel with black pony emblem...

thumb_IMG_2126_1024.jpg

Velossa Big Mouth, US lower GT grille and upper grille black pony emblem...

Then had a great weekend running and displaying the car at our annual car show (the Jersey International Motoring Festival... which is international in the sense that we get a few 'overseas' car clubs making a limited appearance and had entrants this year from as far as Yeovil  ), amongst some other stunning Mustangs.

This weekend... smoked rear light and front side reflector tints, sequential rear lights, paddle shifter extensions... and then a good wash ready for another club run on Sunday (a lot of work owning a Mustang)!

When I got my Track pack spoiler it had a few marks on it, which was strange considering it was still in its wrapper, anyway I decided to have it wrapped in matt black to go with my bonnet wrap booked for next week.

Like the Monaro, a wonderful car (handles SO much better but I don't like the look) until they decided it should be ÂŁ55k. Idiots. Anyway, enjoy!

Beware when fitting it (if you haven't already) - as the template Ford supplied with mine (bloody great big A0 sheet rolled up in the box) was a 'little' off.

I spent a good hour and a half checking the reference scale, cutting out the template, painstakingly laying it out on the rear and then measuring its position from various reference points before I drilled the rather excessive 9 holes required... only to find when putting the spoiler in place that it was up to 8mm adrift (too far back), which required the elongation of the holes to get it's final position spot on. Nothing that couldn't be worked around... just meant a lot of additional faffing around with a Dremel... but 100% spot-on in the end and really pleased with how it looks.

Not sure what you mean sorry
Because you've lowered the car, all the bushes will now be under tension, which could be why you've not seen the desired drop at the rear:)

The proper way to do it is to loosen all of the wishbone, and suspension link bolts whilst they're weighted, i.e. Wheels on the ground, then tighten them all up again..
