I took it off. I did a run with it, and a run with out it. I was paying attention to it how it acted at highway speeds (85mph) and I could see a bit of vibration with the middle part on. So I opted to remove it. I didn’t feel anything, but it’s tape and only 2 built in screws holding this one down. I’m thinking of drilling two holes and adding a wide head screw to have a bit more anchoring and stability to the spoiler. Maybe after I do that I’ll put the plastic slider back on.
I see, mine is held on with 5 bolts and feels pretty sturdy. The wheels are 19x9.5 +22 offset with 265/35/19s extremecontacts. Got lucky since I didn't see too many affordable wheels with such low offset and I didn't want the hassle of running spacers like on my old ecoboost

Tinted plate covers. They are darker than the pic shows.

And put some miles on it.

Nice looking set up. I’m running a +35F and +38R. If you look the rear tire in my pic it is about 3/8” outside the wheel well. I’m seeing if I can find someone to roll my fenders in the back so I can throw my lowering springs on and tuck that monster of a tire. I’m running an F1 super car 315/40/19 in the rear. I like lipped wheels but I’m afraid of bending them if I hit something. Why I’ve stayed away from them.

I almost never go to dc and I don't see too many potholes in northern virginia so hopefully these rims don't get bonked lol. And I got like a 3" gap so I'm assuming lowering 1" all around with the frpp track handling package be fine even though the tires stick out a bit?

With a 1” drop you should be more then fine. I have like a finger and half this is the rear and I have 0 issues. It’s on stock suspension. If you don’t want to drop because of your track pack you can get an F1 asymmetric in a 295/40/19 and should fill that rear well if you don’t mind doing staggered.

I have had ideas for both front and rear low GoPro mounts for a while now.

Paper template and fittings for the rear :

Then in stainless :

Stainless dressed up, I tapped the locking plates, added rivnuts and got it mostly assembled :

The bracket is adjustable to counteract the GoPro lens offset from 10mm to 20mm. This covers the full GoPro range past and present, it’s currently set at 14mm which suits my old school Hero 2’s … lol

If it’s not red (aluminium) or black (plastic) it’s stainless steel, including all the bolts, rivnuts and spacers :

My GoPro is proper retro :giggle: :

Mounting location (no good for a Mach or Shelby) :

Front locking plate :

Rear :

Mounting assembly order :

I might get shredded for my opinion here, but I don't understand tinted plate covers at all. Is it a visually pleasing thing / visual improvement to people that have it?

For example it is strange to me that cops don't mind it (some of the dark ones really have to make the plate hard to read) and myself, whenever I see that on a car, it makes me think the owner of the car is trying to fly under the radar, so for example my dash cam wouldn't be able to read a covered plate and I'm immediately more on-guard on the highways etc when I see that.

I am not trying to make assumptions or anything. I'd be less on-guard on a nice Mustang like yours versus say beat up Altima.

I'm just trying to understand the trend/motivation - tinted/covered plates, tinted/smoked headlights and taillights are 3 mods I don't understand - all those things should be as visible and functional as possible...

Proclip installed but I had to print a shim to get the angle right. I should have researched other options. This is my third phone holder, 3m mounted magnet not strong enough for hard acceleration, glass mounted to far away to reach and glass angle a bitch. Now the proclip.
