new dash cam. Normal price was $155, went on sale at amazon for $99. Resolution, build quality, mount, battery is better than the G1W series.

Got new rims and tires. Advanti Hybris 19x8.5 up front...19x9.5 in the rear. Continental ExtremeContact DW 255/40 and 285/35 respectively. Shaved close to 40 pounds off the car with these wheels and tires over the stock 18s and they didn't break the bank
Glad I am not the only one who likes silver rims on their Ruby
I don't see it often.

I'm in love with these wheels on the car. They're almost a white sliver or platinum. Definitely stand out. I don't see many Ruby Reds on here, especially with after market wheels. I see you have some Sochis, I love the look of solid 5 spoke wheels on these cars. Nice choice.

how'd you wire yours up?

I installed my Lukas HD 7700 PRO and am just using the console DC outlet.

I didn't realize the outlet was always on but luckily the 7700 has a parking mode.

used a fuse tap in fuse #36 in the passenger footwell to power a 12V/5V USB adapter, wired it up through the side of the dash, through the a pillar, and push the wire under the headliner to the camera. Luckily the new dash cam had the same mini USB plug so it was a direct swap out when putting the new one in.

It's worth noting, that you don't need to disassemble anything either. You can simply push the wire underneath the a pillar with the help of one of those non marring plastic trim tools.

Also, I tried using a fuse tap to plug in my dash cam, but I couldn't make it work. It was the correct size, but it didn't fit into the fusebox. So I simply wrapped the wire around the fuse and plugged the fuse back in. It's been working fine without issue.
