Yesterday morning I decided to take a drive in the Moosetang from Lenoir City down 321/95/72/129 to Chilhowee and then I took the Foothills Parkway up to Townsend. In Townsend I stopped in the Smokey Mountain National Park visitors center to purchase an annual Smokey Mountain National Park parking pass (it's new this year and required if you plan to park for more than 15 minutes anywhere in the park). Then I drove up Little River Gorge Rd (beautiful drive as all the foliage is Bright Green!) to Wear Cove Gap Rd and up to Wears Valley. From Wears Valley I took Hwy 321 all the way back to Lenoir City.

Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait for summer when my car is back on the road to cruise up in the U.P.

Do tell, where did you get those?
From Etsy.com. They have lots of items to choose from. Mine are glue-ons (adhesive). I pealed the old caps off, then pulled out the plastic center piece and attached the new cap to it, and then plugged it back into the wheel center.

Finally got the new grill all buttoned up and got to drive it… hasn’t gotten out of the garage much at all lately.

With your Quik-Latch hood pins do you mind letting me know 1. Do you still use the oem hood latch release lever and 2. do you still need to drop the hood for it to close. Thanks.

The hood is a GT500 replica so the hood pins are in the location for the GT500. As a result, they don’t lineup with ANYTHING under the hood. I’m working on Fabing an angled plate to mount on the radiator mount, but at the moment they don’t latch to anything…

Great area to ride, we ride over there at least 2-3 times a year. Did you ride the Dragon while you were there?

No. I find the Trail of the Donkey to be fairly annoying compared to many of the other amazing roads in this area. Today I did Hwy 360 from Vonore down to Tellico Plains and then the Cherohala Skyway up to Santeetlah Lookout. Much better drive than the dragon.
