Gave the car a nice wash once it warmed up a little outside, then mocked up a little experiment with the (now capped) intake resonator...

Tried this small air cleaner which fit perfectly (and resides *before* the main K&N air filter), trying to impact the exhaust sound a little bit. It definitely changes the note, making it tunable to a degree. Not sure if it's worth pursuing, but it was a fun like project. Cap is back on for now šŸ‘

Iā€™m thinking about taking my little hacksaw to the resonator tube thing. I just donā€™t want droning. Lol

I get droning on Track exhaust setting, but I have the now removed "blob" set up so I can put it back on if need be. I have to say with the resonator removed it sounds fantastic in Sport exhaust mode with the Airaid and K&N šŸ˜Ž

I cut mine off my 16. No drone at all, and I used a wheel center cap to seal the hole.

Shouldnā€™t it be flush to avoid basically making a mini tube?

Finally got to drive it after 6 months of hibernation in the garage. Fired right up. The weather cooperated today. Sorry no pictures, I was too busy enjoying the drive.:handsinair:

Just put a fancy sticker on airbox, I had a small rattle on the plastic where seatbelt goes into the wall behind driver seat so tossed some dynamat on it.
Thankfully it is very easy to unclip at the door sill.

I checked oil after warm itā€™s a little below almost directly centered between both circles should I add? and catch can. Barely nothing in catch can 2k miles.

Perfect day for a cleaning and wax. A few more days and the trees will be dropping junk.

Please please please find a performance shop or other specialist place that mounts tires. DO NOT take those wheels to a chain shop. The 18 year old there WILL yeet your wheels and mar the edges with the tire machine. They will also lazily mount the wheel weights and it will look like complete shit.

And your lugs will get overtorqued as a bonus. I've lived this nightmare on a previous car, I literally watched them drop one of my rims on its face like it was nothing.
Welp, after today I can say that the guy that did the work on my car is an expert.

I ended up sticking with NTB and the store manager there who did the work has been putting on rims for 15 years and has worked with a variety of tire and rim combinations. Not one scuff mark was on my rims when he was done. It took all day for whatever reason (chain store, high volume, they're closed tomorrow due to Easter Sunday), but he didn't mess my stuff up, he took his time, and it all fit with no other parts needed to make it all work.

He straight up told me he'd rather be the one to do it because he knew the other guys in the shop wouldn't care as much as he did. So for that I gave him my appreciation and a tip for giving a damn.

Again for those who haven't seen my other posts in this thread, these are straight from the Ford catalog, their PP2 sized rims, 19x10.5 fronts, 19x11 rears wrapped in Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ tires, 285/35/R19 in the rear, 275/35/19 in the front.

The tires aren't as wide as you find on the PP2 but they look amazing in person.

Gonna clean the car up tomorrow and put a post in the wheel thread.
