that‘s pretty sweet. You could sell that ya know
Thank you! I should've made better templates while I was building it, but it wouldn't be too hard to recreate. I wonder if there's a way to scan this one to make a 3D printer file?

Gotta be easier than trying to tweak it according to seat position (I like to sit close), driver height, etc..!

Dang it Matt, now I'll be looking for those reflections in the rear mirror. :) Seriously, you did a great job with the items you made.

Keep meaning to post a few things, so I'll just drop them all at once. Did these over the past few months!

1) I covered the rear deck child-seat anchor plates with carpet, to stop them reflecting on the rear windscreen:

It's not as noticeable in this photo as it really was, but it was annoying to have the top portion of my rearview cut off by these little guys.

The plates are really easy to pop out, but a little trickier to re-install. I bought the carpet (similar to that used on Sub boxes, etc), and applied it to the plate using spray adhesive. I still have plenty of the carpet left, if anyone wants to give it a go.

After re-install, the color just wasn't dark enough, despite looking like it would be when it arrived! Easily remedied with a thick Sharpie.

Sun will likely even it out eventually, but it's holding steady so far.

No more glare! Apart from the wing, I get my whole rearview back. Woohoo!

2) Made a custom Kydex magnetic phone mount for the radio faceplate.

My old sticky magnet mount worked okay, but the ever-changing weather down here in southeast VA led to hot days loosing the adhesive, and cold days firming up the tape, and I was over it.

So, I disassembled the mount, tossed the ball-clamp, and cut a piece of kydex to start forming. I've had a Recaro bezel waiting to go in, so I used that to form a perfect fit. Did a bunch of trimming, sanding, and used the heatgun to do some last-minute adjustments.

Easily the sturdiest phone mount I've ever had! Held in only by friction.

Had to borrow the wife's phone to take a pic, but couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Thank you much! ..and also, sorry! 😅

If you end up finding them in your rearview, shoot me a PM. I can trim a couple squares of the leftover carpet and put 'em in an envelope! 👍 If you wanna shoot me a buck via paypal or something to cover the postage, I've got no problem doing that. 🙂

(That offer goes for anyone! I've got at least a yard left lol)

Where was it? I have four in my passenger panel, two of which are metallic sounding.
I don't really know. I tightened the push in connectors and taped a plug in connector to the electric window switch. I also added some foam tape horizontally across the middle of the door.
I can't say it is fixed completely. Here is a link to someone else's video showing what I did.

I found a loose plug in connector rattling around in the outside side plastic bottom piece so you might check there too for missing or loose pieces.
