I can't speak to that particular brand, but I've tried covering mine with a glove and a beer coozi, and it's still too damn hot to hang on to. Just ordered the Ford Performance one. Unfortunately it's not as heavy as the current one, but at least I'll be able to hang on to it.Just throw a cloth or a spare towel over it when you park. It's not really the heat, it's letting the sun beat on it that makes it really hot.
What ramps are those? Looking for a set to do oil changesSteeda k-member brace. Shout out to John, Heather, and Scott at Steeda for helping get a replacement out to me (couldn't get the first one to fit).
I have the same ramps. Sometimes I’ll put a 2x4 before the ramp to clear the PP2 splitter I had.Rhino ramps. They just barely clear stock, non-pp GT front splitter. But, they are very cheap. You can kinda cheat a bit by using a slight incline to get a bit more clearance.
Those look great man........I am picking up a ruby red GT and it has the black wheels. My wife doesn't care for them and I'm considering something in the gunmetal or brushed aluminum. What are those?Picked up a set of these on special for 19x11
They barely clear my PP1 Bullitt too. But will still use 2x8s before the ramp, to avoid hitting the splitter, since the least suspension movement would hit it anyway. And with a manual transmission, I want a bit of momentum to get the car up the ramps, to minimize risk of over-driving them . Will actually use 2 layers of 2x8s, now that I think of it, to minimize the climb needed to the top. I'm very close to the first oil change, when I'll have to use them.Rhino ramps. They just barely clear stock, non-pp GT front splitter.
