What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Went to town detailing the engine bay for an up coming car meet. I mean I went through everything including changing a lot of silver hose clamps to black, removing silver bolts for black, got a Rife vacuum block for the driver side firewall (no spaghetti).

What do you use when detailing the engine bay?

I always just used some Meg's APC on an old microfiber out of concern of hitting the wrong thing with too much liquid.

I don't use a harsh degreaser then pressure wash it clean. I just use a small brush and Dawn. I put a plastic grocery bag over the supercharger and alternator. Then I put my hose on mist to rinse and dry it with my DeWalt blower.

I use this Sonax Engine Dressing. Spray on and wipe with Microfiber towel. They sell it on Amazon too.

Plastic bag is a great idea. Engine dressing came out nice!

Not a lot but the windscreen decal turned out well. I also updated to Sync-3 USB port, changed the SiriusXM antenna to a 2018 antenna to stop the dropout.

Got the Mustang a new stable mate. Traded in my ‘21 Expedition Limited for a new ‘24 Expedition Limited with the HD trailer towing package and 15.5” console display. Loving it so far! Everything I liked about my ‘21 with some extra goodies.

trying to figure out if the vacuum operated motor mount is bad

Got the car back from the dealer. It was having some shifting issues, a bump when shifting into R and a delay of 1-2 seconds when going into D. They put in a valve body rebuild kit. Also had the coolant changed since its six years old and now have the new updated one. I've only driven it a mile home from the dealer so the trans will take a few days to do its adaptive learning and I'll see how it goes.
