Permanent plate finally arrived. I'll get laughs, maybe a few fingers, but I think it is subtly funny. I'm surrounded by engineers who will immediately get the joke.

My car went into deep sleep mode for the first time since I bought it 13 months ago. I went down and uncovered it and it started up. I guess I need to drive it more. 1500 miles in 13 months. I know the weather is gonna start getting nicer as it warms up here and I’m gonna really enjoy it this spring and summer more.

Said a little thank you prayer to god, then bought a lotto ticket. Today was a lucky day for me.

Apparently a flock of Egrets, (I think, not a bird expert.) decided to suddenly nest in he trees near where I store my M1. In less than 48 hours this was what the cover looked like.

The lucky part is, despite a little leaching through the cover, I got to it fast enough and got it all washed off. No etching or paint damage. Amazingly the hood sticker somehow survived unscathed.

Needles to say, car will not be parked anywhere near there until nesting season is over. Been parking my weekend toys in same spot for 28 years, never had an issue, crazy ass birds.

That's terrible!!! You got lucky!

I always parked in the back at work (at my old job), one day I saw there were a ton of birds perched on the lightpole. So I thought I was smart by parking a few spots away instead of directly underneath.

Well apparently there was a breeze that day bc my car got covered. The guys who parked underneath the pole...spotless! D'oh!

It’s a beautiful day here in coastal-NC. This afternoon the pollinated Mach might have to hit the streets.
