Steeda dual rate springs in. Could be placebo but it feels.... more comfortable?
Hmm well according to Steeda, the factory spring rates for your car without the handling package were 194 lbs front and 657 lbs rear. The primary rates on the Steeda springs are 220 front / 800 rear, and the secondary rates 350 front / 1200 rear. Sounds like your placebo theory might be right!

Did you have fun with the oil filter too?
It wasn't the the best oil filter placement I've encountered. I tried the ziplock bag, that may have caught 25%. I used a Form a Funnel that diverted most of the rest to a drain pan. Still seemed strange to not lube the gasket of the replacement.

I put a small plastic bag around all the wires and then used a piece of cardboard as a Form a funnel. Maybe I got luck but didn t lose a drop. I should also mention 1/3 bottle of ceratec quieted down the value rattle to nothing. Didn t yet develop the tic as I only have 2500 miles and first oil change. Dry filter was hard for me but I followed the direction of Ford. Hope I can get it off and I think I got it on pretty tight too, LOL.

Which size works best for draining oil from a S550? Thinking the slightly larger model may be better

Sorry for the off-topic, but I cannot help myself to not ask - Is it the Superior, AZ from U-Turn movie? Just watched it recently and enjoyed it (there is even Mustang in it :)).
that is the town! i am in the east valley about a 50 mile drive to there. from there one can jump on some very nice rolling and twisty mountain roads with little traffic. a great area.

I still do the finger tip to lube the gasket regardless of what anything says. I always have done it on every vehicle in the past and I don't see why it would call for this one to not be lubricated. If there was a very specific reason or something noted that it could cause failure, I would stop doing it but it seems pretty vague of a request.

Got my new GT350 steering wheel today. Having the heated wheel is nice, but I will
Never use it as this is a summer car only. A small price to pay for a way better look and feel!

Finally finished fixing all the deficiencies from the dealer pre-delivery process. Long story short; splitter was installed wrong, car was covered in pin head size rust deposits from transport, and the wheel lip moldings were missing.

10 hours work over the last week, but splitter now installed correctly and all plastic rivets in. Rust deposits removed and car detailed. Paint is glass smooth now. And lastly, installed wheel lip moldings. (Put them on for the rock protection, but like the look more than I thought I would.)

Yeah I know, that's why I was surprised that it felt better. My son was in the car last night and also said the same thing (without me priming him) so I wonder if it's a case of the spring/magneride combo working better together? Either way, the main thing is that it is still comfortable for daily use and certainly firmer when it hits the secondary rate around a corner!
