AA spare uses the same mount point as the repair kit does, so I am not sure what do you mean by "existing mount locations/hardware".
There are 2 holes for the mounting stud. I had to use the one on the right. That will center the threaded stud in the middle of the wheel.

Mine was asking to cut the wheel well. NO way in hell I was doing that.

MGW ball on the MGW shifter vs OEM ball on the OEM shifter is approx. 1/4" lower (https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/mgw-shifter-for-mach1.168853/post-3628352).

The OEM ball on the MGW shifter (using an adapter) vs OEM ball on the OEM shifter seems to be much lower (https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/mgw-shifter-for-mach1.168853/post-3633248).
This is excellent to know. I really do like the OEM ball, though I do have an aftermarket shift ball to use as well. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for this!

Took it to the body shop of one of the larger Ford dealers around here to look at my door alignment.
The guy that handles warranty work said it'd be best to leave it alone.
"If we align that, your stripe will be off".
Also mentioned how nice the FJG paint was, and it'd be a shame if they messed up the paint by repositioning the striker or hinges.

I guess he's right, but it still bugs me.
Only takes a few seconds after mounting the door to check alignment of the body lines.
I guess Ford didn't have the extra time.
At least they got the other one right.

That would bother me. In my opinion they should align the door and replace the stickers if necessary. You purchased a brand new car and it should come the correct way.

First full day with my car so I take the whole family for a joy ride (Wife, daughter, 2 dogs). headed East towards Houston with no gps at 8PM. Ended up at the edge of the Ghetto section so it turned into a Thrill ride of sorts.

Pretty sure they'll deny RMA because 1-2 mm is within their internal tolerances. Expunge it from your short-term memory and take a few feet back when admiring the car (, woman, etc.) 😁

I asked Anthony at FP about this, and he said the same thing about tolerances.
They have certain criteria for authorizing a Repair.

OCD therapy might be a more realistic fix!

Drove 80 miles to nowhere. 130 mi into break in so far. Pleased to find out about auto window roll down and easy exit seat option. Discovered where the gas funnel is located.
