How many miles on it without a separator? If too many, i'd try and clean your rings.
When I bought the car, it had a JLT on it. I've spoken to the two previous owners and know the car has been well taken care of.

I washed her and the siblings
No denying your brand loyalty! Love this. Huge lightning fan, almost bought several times (red) I just can’t bring myself to own an automatic…but holy sh** do I love that truck. Such a unique look now too when you see one on the road, a unicorn today as so many got destroyed / modded / super high miles. Enjoy!!!

Washed her and took her out for a drink.

Oil change and found the coolant tank is starting to crumble. I can scratch a gouge in it with my fingernail.

The portion under the hood vent is succumbing to uv exposure.... good thing there's some sales going on right now.

You keep the car outside or garaged? Is it just the part that’s exposed to elements? Miles? Track days?

Trying to wrap my head around this issue, when / how / why, etc. Thank you!

Just the portion under the front hood vent that would get sunlight.

Outside under a car cover, it gets driven 2-3 days a week on average. Car has 15k miles, no track days but plenty of mountain roads and road trips.

I replaced mine with the Steeda brand. It's very well built and I don't have to worry about an external tube leaking like on the other after market brands. I did my first track day with it and it was rock solid. In my opinion the oem should never have been plastic..
Mine is also a 2019 and the plastic unit didn't look pretty.

If the hood wasn't vented allowing sunlight in this probably wouldn't be a problem. But I agree this part should not have been plastic in this car, or at least it should have been made from a more UV stable plastic.

If it was just an overflow tank it wouldn't be an issue but it has to go through stress cycles being a pressurized tank.

Im going to try the mishimoto tank now that they are using a sight window vs the tube.
