And today I really discovered just how bad these Pirelli PZero's are in the wet. I was just trying to test where the lack of adhesion was at low speeds and from a standing start..
Is that what really happened, what were your findings?

Boot and floor mats from fitmycar arrived

Today my floor mats and boot mat from fitmycar.com.au arrived...:headbang:

The quality is down right amazing and they look fantastic :eyebulge: Way better than anything else I have seen.

I fully recommend these guys :first: Originally I got the floor mats with charcoal binding and red stitching. But I changed our internal colour scheme and asked could they change the colour of the floor mat binding to match the boot mat that I ordered. They said yes and this is what turned up today. :eyebulge:

I have a Bluepower CAI for sale if anyone is keen?? in Perth...
Why the change? And what to?
I'm thinking of jumping that way, but have a few other expenses to take care of first.

Ordered my JLT 3 Catch Can.

By any chance were you in wet mode? A few members including me consider the wet mode to do more harm than good. Spun 180 on a main road on wet mode, never had that problem in "Normal"

Just rounding up some cash for FI...which will require a different air intake.

After the branch on the roof incident i had to remove the wrap,
best at about 50 deg so parked her in the sun measured the temp and got to work temp dropped so had to go in and out few times.
came off ok so happy with that
not happy about removing an opticoated vinyl wrap however:mad:
Now to get the ding fixed
quick time lapse

My fingers are bleeding at the moment from removing those 5.0 badges from the side... Finally the black ones are on. Lower grille and black pony at the front to go, then tint and eventually onto a photoshoot :)

Yikes! Were they hard to remove? Also what product did you use to remove the residual glue?

I'll be doing mine next week i think...

That's an interesting use of the discarded wrap at the end of the video, but I am not sure that black suits you :)

I will also be doing mine. I think there are some instructions somewhere on this forum if anyone knows the link.

I believe its a job for a hair dryer to warm it up and the fishing line spun around two blocks either end and just work the line back and forth.

I used hair-dryer - good luck if you're planning to do it without heat :).

Once hot enough I used tooth floss to cut the tape behind, That was easy.

Took the badges out with a little bit of force and then cleaning up the rest of the tape was the hardest freaking thing. I used the hair-dryer again and basically rubbed it with my fingers. Taking the residue off it's quite easy. I didn't have any removal liquid and just used eucalyptus oil.

This shit is awesome for removing residue - used it when I swapped out my Lakins and it made short work of the goo.

I had the NRMA out to jump start the car - battery had dropped to 7.6v after four days of idleness. All kinds of horrible noises and weird flashing on the dash when I tried to kick it over.

Off to Supercheap this week to invest in a battery pack.

NRMA guy also told me that he was called to a job in the Royal National Park last week to attend to one of the Hertz rental 'stangs which had dropped it's oil and shat itself.
How's your battery Drew?

Started mine today for the first time in 3 weeks, (been away), with no problems.

This is the 3rd time since I took delivery on the 24th May, that it hasn't been driven for about 3 weeks due to being away, and it's always started with no problems.

Are you sure your Dash Cam isn't draining the battery?

Did your car electrically unlock or did you have to use the key in the door?

Graeme
