I had a Ecoboost Mustang with the following mods Tune, Intake, Catless Downpipe, Resonator Delete, and Magnaflow Axel Backs. I was recently on the forums looking for help as i thought the car had a bad turbo causing it to smoke but after digging deeper and going to another dealership I've learned i have low compression in cylinders 2 and 3 and cylinder scoring which is causing the smoke. What i want to know is what i did wrong i had the NGK 6510's gapped always used 93, would always let the car idle before id go out. After i changed the turbo out that i kind of needed as my first turbo had very slight jagged egdes on the blades i had the plugs changed aswell and when we looked at them the where very brittle white and crusty. I know that the normal color should be brown so I kept that in mind when trying to figure out what went wrong. If i did something wrong please let me know i just want to know why.

Do you have an access port? Did you notice any huge negative ignition corrections before this happened? Why did you change the turbo out? Can you provide pictures of these? I'd make sure your plugs didn't drop a ceramic. Huge negative ignition corrections can be signs from my understanding along with engine running rough. How many miles on your spark plugs before you changed them out?

Thanks for replying, I had a SCT X4 and to be honest i never monitored that. I have had 3 cases where my spark plugs has gone bad. I actually had 1 with a slightly broken tip and one that had the ceramic collar break from the base and slide over the iridium tip. There were about 8000 miles on the plugs before i changed them.

I have old datalogs aswell

Damaged turbo fins and scored cylinders may point to the engine ingesting something through the intake. In retrospect, which side of the turbo were the fins showing burring? Intake or Exhaust side?

What happened to the turbo? Did an intake screw go into it or something, I vaguely remember a thread where that happened

That looks no bueno. It can get way way worse than that though. Wheels can get out of balance when blades get chopped up like that and then the bearings can go. No clue what your intake was eating. What brand intake are you running?

The MAP intake is quality I don't doubt that. But I would at least take the filter off and inspect it to see if any plastic or rubber has broken off. That tends to happen once in a while with turbo's and it would be no fault of MAPerformance.
