What car for USA road trip?

6th gen Camaro, Hemi Challenger or something like a GT350. Can you guarantee a V8 though, I thought with the hire car companies it tends to be "Mustang or similar" which will be anything but a Mustang and certainly not a V8?

Generally get a EB if renting, however some rentals will specifically let you pick 'certain' models of car (ie Hertz and the GT-H)

The Hellcat and Corvette might be a bit pricey, but a Charger is a good call.

As for car choice, I've rented from Dollar and Avis before. Both have let me choose my car from the car park. Both had plenty of Mustangs

I am spending a couple of weeks in New England in May - and have decided to hire a Dodge Challenger - could only get the R/T model though - SRT or scat pack was not possible :-(
