What’s the best tire for. 20” 11width setup for the rear

Hello I bought a Velgen vf9 20s 10/11 staggered setup and they recommend

275/35/20 F
305 / 35 /20 R

I just want to ask if that’s the best tire for the wheels. And does it have robbing ?

Hello, yes I would go with Velgen's recommendation. That's typically the "sweet spot" for fitment. Unless you wanted a bit wider, can't go wrong with a 315 BUT, I'd say will rub if you hit the right bump, lol.

That's a mighty tall tire for 20" wheels.

A 305/30/20 is a better fit, and for that size the Hoosier A7 is probably the best tire.

Not being an ass just trying to be enlightened, but why is that tire tall for a 20inch rim. I have 20×11 rears and 305/35/20 is what the rim company recommended. I've considered going with a 30 wondering if it would feel like more gear.

It's not about the wheel itself, there's virtually no limitations on that. You can put a 36" mud tire on those wheels if you wanted to.

It's more regarding the body and wheel well of the car. A 28.4" tire is pretty tall and you might rub, or will look odd on a sports car and probably not handle as well and your speedo will be off.

Stock tires are in the ~27" range, so you should stick to that general diameter. The company is simply making a recommendation for the tire in general, not specifically to this car itself.
