I have a 2018 10 speed. This is my second gen 3 with the 10 speed. First one was fine. This one keeps having this issue. On a hard pull, the trans will get hot and jump 40+ degrees. White smoke comes out the back, shifting all over the place. It’s frustrating to say the least. It’s done this to me at least 3 times now. Takes up to 30 minutes to cool back down. Dealership doesn’t seem to have any answers.
Worth mentioning, that issue only occurs in sport plus mode.

Don't know why I thought you had the A-6

With the symptoms you describe I'd follow the dealers advise and blow it up.

Once I got tuned I found normal mode was the best for all around. Shifts soft under light throttle, medium throttle snaps a bit and wot is same as drag mode. Stock trans tuning sucked all around.

That would be easiest for them, they’ll just swap it out. The problem for me is I end up stuck somewhere bc they don’t want to look at it. It is an 18, so it’s probably one of the common issues. Valve body is my guess, but only guessing there.

Do you only tune with RTD? I'm currently tuned with sct bdx and sent you a direct email explaining the issues with my current tune, ess car. Was thinking about switching.
We tune via SCT. HP and PCMTEC

This happened to me after a service on my 10R80. Excess trans oil would spill out of the vent tube making contact with my hot exhaust leaving a trail of white smoke behind. Well issue was they overfilled the trans during the service!

I am planning to have the dealer service the trans. My expectations are it’s low fluid. I’d rather just pay them to refill it, not a whole fluid swap. It’s been a nightmare with no real resolution. A tuner suspects it’s low, the symptoms line up with my issues pretty well.

It would only happen if I put load on the car going up hill thought I blew the engine with that massive white plume out the back but luckily was only the too much transfluid spilling out on the hot exhaust which can be dangerous.
