Well guys I did it...

I spun a rod on my 2020 GT mt82. Not sure if it was me or the transmission but as soon as I shifted from 3rd to 4th it went to 2nd. Tires locked and it over rev. I pull out of 2nd and try to re engage it to 4th gear. As I was doing that I was also looking at my shifter. I pull straight down to 4th and it went back to 2nd. Had to do it twice before It was able to go in 4th. By then the damage had been done. Check engine light came on and lost a little of oil psi but enough oil psi to get me home. Anyone else had this problem?

Stang is at the dealership getting a whole replacement engine as so I was told by the technician. Yes its still under warranty.I'll see by Friday if I'll be able to drive my car once again. Also its been at the dealership for about a month now.

Lol, I'm impressed they are actually giving you a warranty engine given the PCM logs overrevs...lucky dog.

As far as the trans, maybe you bent a shift fork and the alignment got messed up, idk how hard you usually shift.

LOL one of the reason why I like to buy new, because of warranty you just never know. Beside who knows if the previous owner beat the crap of their GT before trading it in. I know I'm guilty of all my previous cars .

Well when they test drive it hopefully they can find some kind of issue with the transmission if not then I think I'm going to add a MGW shifter just because I'm paranoid.
