Yesterday when I went to get in my car I opened the door and my passenger Mirror start to move up and then started to click as it reached its limit and didn't stop until I put the car in ACC mode. THhn it returned to its position.

I shrugged it off until today the drivers mirror did it. It raised all the way up till it started clicking and only stopped when I put pushed the button to turn on the ACC mode. This time it stayed up and did NOT return to position.

Both times seemed to be triggered by opening my drivers door.

Any ideas? If it keeps doing it I'm going to take it to the dealer.

Mine does this from time to time, but it only does it when I hit the seat memory button. I hit the button again and it goes to it's assigned location.

Did your mirror adjustment switch get wet? Or the inside of the door in general get caught in a down pour?

Mine does the same thing. I just press my memory recall button on the door and returns to normal. My research has shown even Ford dealers have no clue why it happens even though it is very common.

Same here. Only does.It on occasion and on both sides.
Hitting the memory button fixes it.

Took mine in over a year ago and they replaced the motors and it’s been fine since then. It was under warranty.
