I ordered a set of WeatherTech mats off of AM. They didn't come with any retainer clips. After some back and forth WeatherTech sent me a set of velcro clips... However these suck, they don't lock into place like the OEM mats and it simply sits on the nipple to keep the mat from moving forward, not backwards (depending on the install). It also seems way too easy to lift the mat up since it doesn't snap into place.

Can someone show me a picture of their clips that came with their mats? I think they sent me the wrong ones or I'm just not doing it right. For a product with so much praise around here, I'm not happy.

They should look like circular clips that clip onto the existing posts.
The mat should have cavities for those clips.

They're circular but not a full circle...about half a circle so they don't actually snap onto the nipple. And there are cavities where the velco clip latches on

I thought their claim to fame was fitment? Laser designed for a perfect fit.

they used to snap into place just like factory...and then they went to a new style half circle clips with Velcro, both sides of the half circle snap together around the post, and the Velcro attaches to the bottom of the mat...this is NOT an upgrade, but WeatherTech had their reasons, I'm sure.

Same problem here; the Velcro attachment lasted about a day or two before becoming essentially useless. They've been in the car for almost 17 months, and they serve their purpose as designed, even if they flop around a bit on entry and exit.

Technically, the mats fit just fine. However, they don't stay just fine.

I have Husky liners in mine and they dont move a bit. they have the full circle clip that snaps into the factory location. Never had one single issue with them moving or being any kind of inconvenience.

You have the correct clips, the design just sucks. I have the same matts and I couldn't wait for the weather to get better so I could put my factory matts back in. The Weather Tech matts just always looked dirty. I'll put them back in when winter comes around and don't think I'll even bother with the clips. They were a PITA to remove when I went back to my OEM matts.

I have the digital fit Weathertechs and I have had no issues. They dont move at all. The clips have worked fine for me. Had them for awhile now.

I have the Husky, the clips fit perfect and the driver's side stays in place very well. My problem with them is they are very rigid and uncomfortable.

They are made for putting your feet on,not sitting or sleeping. Try this and the comfort level may improve. If they are still uncomfortable try wearing shoes.
