I don't know how I would feel... It might aggravate me... I have a tick about exclusivity. Once I start seeing everyone with my car, it makes it feel like my car is too obtainable and nothing special. That's the good thing about getting them as early as possible... You get the break neck joy for a little while before it catches on to the teenies that "hey! I can get that car base for less than a Scion FRS?! That's what I want mom!" And Ford made the cars in each trim very fair cosmetically. Other than power and a few interior upgrades, you have to look pretty hard to find that "5.0 or GT" tag on the car to let people know "I got the real deal!" That's why I'm so huge on modding. Set my car away from the pack.

i personally enjoy seeing other s550s on the road, gives me something nice to look at on the drive to wherever im going. I still break my neck to look at older model mustangs too.

I live in a town with 3 big colleges, there are a lot of 18-22 year olds whos parents bought them mustangs before going off to school, these kids generally dont give a crap about their car other than it gets them from point A to point B, some of do though and you can usually tell by the condition of the car.

Do fellow Mustang drivers wave at one another? I'm new to the mustang world. I have a 15 GT. Today, I thought I saw a Shelby (don't know what year) trailing me, but never passing me. He could easily have (it was street driving), but seemed to have purposely trailed my left side.

Anyway. I have seen other Mustang drivers. They never waved or looked. But other muscle cars (Challengers, especially), have given what I would call an aggressive look.
Dude! Heck no! It's a well known fact...guy's with the same brand muscle cars never acknowledge the other guy. Do Stallions at the starting gate acknowledge each other? No way...it's just not done.

Think of it this way...it's like Urinal educate while peeing, eye's front and no talking :) Maybe...just maybe...a thumbs up while passing with out eye contact. :)

idk about you but i stare directly into the eyes of whoevers next to me at the urinal for the entire duration until i leave the room. upon entry, make eye contact, unzip still holding eye contact, wash hands while keeping eye contact, exit room with eye contact.

Today I pulled up right next to a well-kept, black older model stang at the light. The guy was 2-3 cars ahead of me just moments before, in sparse traffic, so he must've seen me. The giveaway? The moment we stopped, I made a point to look right at his face, which I never do, and my tint is light enough to where you can tell whether I am looking at ya. Sure enough, I got the no-eye-contact, quick-look-down-turn-away thing. He 100% knew I was there. Awkwaaaarrrrd!:rolleyes:
Like I said in an earlier thread, you just got to let this stuff go,it"s human nature, you got a 2015 Mustang and your happy,so you look for other 2015 Mustangs so you can share that happy and wave, the road crew sees the new Mustang and says wow there is a new Mustang, and thumbs up,now your really happy,Then there is that stop light or street passing, of the the S197 and older Mustangs,Now no wave, no look, just the FU hate look, but theses guys have seen this 2015 Mustang coming for many months and to them it isn"t a Mustang,Euro look,4 banger engine,IRS,and that isn"t going to change I don"t think, the main thing is to enjoy your car and wave as much as you can to spread the love and good will, that has always been Mustang up until NOW.

I understand about seeing this thing everywhere now. I agree, it was fun getting it early, and for me, I had no idea what I was getting into to begin with so that made it even more interesting once I realized I had something pretty special tucked away in the garage each night. Can't deny it, though; no matter the trim, the year 2015 is a milestone in mustang history, and that's pretty exclusive, yes? ;)

It's funny how people twist their necks looking for the 5.0 on the side or the GT on the butt before appreciating that car's color, wheels, whether it's a vert, any cosmetic personal touches, etc. Reminds me of the days of everyone looking for the damn IZOD alligator on each others' polo shirts in school (yes I am old). If you had any other animal sewn on, well, "you're just a wannabe" and uncool. Oh, well, my mom shopped at Sears, not IZOD. I realize it's not quite the same...but it kinda is, with a few folks. It can be difficult, but we are supposed to not care about that stuff, so I'm told. (But if guys are concerned about people being able to tell whether their car is a GT, they should stop blacking out the rear badge :p )

I love seeing everyone doing different things to their cars, so keep on modding (so I don't have to :D)!

LMAO...I got snubbed by a guy in a 2015 Ecoboost Convertible! Pulled up next to him on my way home from picking up my daughter at dance class at like 9:30 PM. He was in the left turn lane and I was in the right turn lane. I looked over at his car, then at the driver. He looked over at my car, then at me. I smiled and waved and he turned and looked straight ahead.

Maybe it is something like not talking to people in the lavatory or something....it just ain't done?

i catch older models looking at me, i used to kind of look back and give them a nod, but they would just cold stare me like they were jelly.

now i quit looking at them all together.

i get the most appreciation / waves / nods from competitors, (challenger, camaro, vettes)

i ignore any 15 i see that's not a gt, and the few GT's i've waved to mean mugged me too.

If someone waives, thumbs up or whatever, I'll give one back. But I don't bother to initiate it, cause I don't give a frick.

In the 2+ years I have owned my 13' Grabber Blue Boss 302 I've never received a wave from another Mustang driver. Don't get me wrong the car does receive it's share of attention and have had several people pull up next to me at traffic lights and ask me to rev it up! (Corsa Extreme & baffles removed from side pipes). The Boss has a very unique sound with pops & crackles especially when driving with the RED track key. This past weekend also had a guy in a 15' CO GT just about twist his head off as I drove by. I'll consider that a thumbs up! Where the car really gets noticed is at track days. Constantly have guys coming over to check it out between sessions and always full of questions. Even the Camaro guys seem to respect the Boss for being the best and last of it's breed. Love the new Stang and will be moving into a GT350 next year. :ford:

ive only had two instances where another owner had honked and waved or played around with me on the road.
i waved at a guy in a 14 Mustang GT and he gave me the bird. i just laughed as he tried to peel out and nearly crashed into the car in front of him....maybe its gonna be a S550 thing.
